Thursday, July 19th marked Sweeney Conrad’s second annual Summer Summit! The Summit is our leadership program in which students join our ranks for the day. This year 23 students attended and were able to get a look at a day in the life of an accountant here at Sweeney Conrad.
After a quick breakfast/meet and greet, Managing Shareholder, John Forrest welcomed the students and introduced them to Sweeney Conrad. Audit Manager, Jamie Gardner followed to share her thoughts and explain what makes Sweeney Conrad a top firm for both employees and clients.
Following the introduction, the students were treated to an interactive seminar on Personal Branding. The seminar focused on ways to market yourself in order to stand out and impress potential employers. Then came the world famous Wild Sweeney’s BBQ (provided by Lil Red’s!) with BBQ pork and chicken, mac and cheese, collard greens, and Arnold Palmer’s!
The second half of the day featured breakaway sessions in audit and tax and an office tour/Putt Putt Course in honor of Food Frenzy. Finally, the day wrapped up with an ice cream social from Street Treats.
