One of our values at Sweeney Conrad is “passion,” and one of the things we’re most passionate about is serving our Puget Sound community. To meet this goal, we partnered with Hopelink in late 2015. Hopelink offers a wide variety of opportunities to not just donate money, but time. Sweeney Conrad employees love to jump in and get involved with a cause, which is much more personal and rewarding.

Hopelink serves homeless and low-income families, children, seniors, and people with disabilities in north and east King County by promoting self-sufficiency for all members of our community and helping people make lasting changes to permanently exit poverty. The organization helps people meet their needs for food, shelter, homelessness prevention, family development and stabilization, transportation, and adult literacy skills.

Sweeney Conrad has been pleased to work with Hopelink in a variety of ways:

  • Our employees served three meals at the Avondale Park Transitional Housing in Redmond, with another scheduled in November.
  • The whole office got involved in a holiday gift drive, collecting over 100 gifts for children ages 10-18.
  • In lieu of sending holiday cards to clients, Sweeney Conrad sent an email card and made a donation to the End Summer Hunger campaign. In doing so, the firm became a major sponsor of the program, which ensures that over 16,000 local kids in low-income families have enough to eat over summer break.
  • We’re sponsoring a table at the 2016 Reaching Out Luncheon on October 24th, which is the largest fundraising event that directly supports Hopelink’s client services.

We look forward to our continued work with this wonderful organization that does so much to not only serve people in need, but also help them become stable and self-sufficient. To learn more about Sweeney Conrad’s involvement in the community, visit our website.
