On Thursday, July 20th, Sweeney Conrad hosted our first summer leadership program- SC Summer Summit. 27 students joined our ranks for the day, getting a look at a day in the life of an accountant, meeting the Sweeney Conrad staff, and hopefully, having a little bit of fun!
The day started off with a breakfast where we enjoyed getting know one another- and getting the MUCH NEEDED coffee jolt. Next students were introduced to Sweeney Conrad by our Managing Shareholder, John Forrest. Following John, our Audit Manager, Jason Meersman, shared his thoughts on creativity in the workplace and finding your "why?"
Next came an interactive seminar on Personal Branding from Marketing Manager Emily Taibl, and then we enjoyed the sunshine at Sweeney Conrad's Summit BBQ. There was pulled pork, mac and cheese, lemonade... and a whole lot of corn hole! The afternoon continued with breakout sessions in tax and audit, an office tour which tied in to Food Lifeline's Food Frenzy- and then a super fun ice cream social with ice cream sandwiches from Sweet Wheels.
The day was a blast, lots of good connections were made- and we cannot wait until SC Summit 2018!
